Description
RITS is a simulator for training in railway infrastructure operation and maintenance, developed by ADIF, the Spanish government agency responsible for overseeing Spain's railway infrastructure, and Virtualware, using the VIROO XR platform.
It offers a holistic approach to VR, covering development, execution, and multi-user activities.
It covers the full VR training lifecycle, from content creation to execution and assessment, enabling tailored learning experiences for railway professionals.

WORKFLOW
CREATE:
Unity-based tools allow easy generation of VR environments and use cases.
CONFIGURE:
Customize training pills and sequences based on VR environments for specific learning needs.
MANAGE:
Assign, plan, and customize training sessions for optimized learning.
RUN:
Supports desktop PCs, VR headsets, multi-user rooms on a 1:1 scale, and CAVE systems.
ANALYZE:
Generate reports and track student performance to evaluate progress.
RITS is fully operational and stands as the only comprehensive railway simulator globally— not limited to driving or traffic control. After impressing European, Japanese, and Filipino peers at the UIC event in October, it has been also showcased at the 7th UIC World Congress on Rail Training, 2025
