XR Infrastructure Vision at INNOVADEF 2026

On June 23, 2026, we participated in INNOVADEF 2026 at the Army Polytechnic School (ESPOL) in Madrid, a forum focused on the digital transformation of military education, presenting VIROO.

Gaizka, VIROO Product Owner, joined Working Table 4 alongside representatives from Telefónica, CESTIC, and AWS to discuss the future of immersive learning, secure deployment, and scalable infrastructure for defense training environments.

During the session, Gaizka highlighted how VIROO is helping define the role of immersive infrastructure in modern defense training. The conversation centered on a key idea: immersive experiences are only as effective as the infrastructure behind them, and defense organizations need secure, interoperable, and sovereign systems that can evolve.

The discussion at INNOVADEF reinforced the importance of collaboration across the defence ecosystem, bringing together public institutions, military organisations, technology providers, and innovation leaders to address shared challenges and opportunities.
