VIROO and Unity strengthen XR adoption for industry at Hannover Messe

Hannover Messe, the world’s leading industrial trade fair since 1947, brought together more than 130,000 visitors across April 20 to 24. This year’s edition highlighted how digital transformation technologies, especially XR, are becoming integral to industrial processes.

VIROO joined Unity’s partner sessions to showcase XR infrastructure for workforce upskilling, process simulation, and digital transformation.

As part of the event, VIROO participated alongside Unity Technologies at Unity’s official stand and partner sessions, reinforcing the collaboration between both companies to bring industrial-grade XR solutions to real manufacturing environments.

Unity Technologies, widely recognized for its real-time 3D engine, plays a key role in industrial applications ranging from factory layout design and process simulation to operator training. Through this collaboration, VIROO positions itself as the XR infrastructure layer that enables Unity-based industrial applications to be deployed securely and at scale.

That makes it a natural fit for VIROO.

With VIROO Studio, our no-code XR authoring tool, teams can import Unity assets directly and build multi-user industrial applications in hours. Engineers can drag and drop Unity scenes into VIROO, add real-time collaboration and PLC or robot connectivity, and deploy across immersive rooms, headsets, and desktops.

Unlike XR solutions focused solely on content or devices, VIROO is designed as XR infrastructure, prepared to integrate seamlessly into industrial IT and OT ecosystems. The platform is ISO 27001 and TISAX certified, meeting the stringent security, compliance, and reliability requirements of manufacturing and industrial organizations.

At Hannover Messe, we also shared real use cases that show how VIROO is being applied in the field.

Making XR viable in industrial environments requires more than content or hardware. It requires a secure, scalable, and adaptable infrastructure that can integrate with real processes. And VIROO is built around three core pillars: digital sovereignty, operational resilience, and architectural independence

Beyond showcasing technology, VIROO emphasized its open and partner-oriented approach, working alongside technology providers, system integrators, universities, and industrial companies to accelerate the adoption of XR across manufacturing, training, and industrial collaboration.

As XR becomes a strategic enabler for Industry 4.0 and beyond, VIROO continues to position itself as a neutral, secure, and industrial-ready XR infrastructure, designed to support long-term digital transformation and open collaboration across the ecosystem.
