VIROO Players

This release introduces a dedicated player capability for VIROO, expanding how VIROO content and services can be delivered within specialized immersive infrastructures.

VIROO Igloo Player

VIROO now includes a dedicated Igloo Player, enabling VIROO content and services to run within Igloo immersive environments.

While VIROO already supported Igloo infrastructures, this new player provides a more direct and integrated way to deploy and consume VIROO-powered immersive experiences in Igloo spaces.

With this addition, VIROO strengthens its hardware-agnostic approach, making immersive content easier to access, operate, and scale across different types of XR environments, shared immersive rooms, and projection-based infrastructures.

ALL Players

This release also includes several improvements focused on usability, equipment management, and execution reliability:

  • Added a language selector in the user interface, allowing users to choose from the available languages.

VIROO Room Player

  • Improved batch operations so that, when an operation is selected, users can only select equipment where that operation is actually viable.
  • Updated the quick launch button in the equipment list so it remembers the last launch mode used for each piece of equipment.
  • Improved arena sizing so it adapts better to the available physical space.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where execution parameters were still being passed even when they had been disabled.

VIROO introduces a new secure application management architecture that modernizes application publishing, storage, encryption, and distribution, while enhancing VIROO Players with improved application and session management for more efficient for day-to-day operations.

  • New application management service providing secure storage, metadata management, end-to-end encryption, and controlled application distribution.
  • Centralized application management directly from the VIROO Cloud Portal, with VIROO Studio publishing applications to the new service.
  • Enhanced VIROO Players with a refreshed Applications and Sessions interface, improved application information, and release notes available directly from the player.
  • Improved operator experience through a higher default resolution (1280 × 720), application management during active sessions, and clearer handling of unavailable applications.
  • New operational capabilities, including Solo Mode for Single Player and Igloo Player, and equipment editing during active Room Player sessions.
