VIROO Platform

VIROO introduces a new secure content management service for VIROO Cloud, designed to modernize how VIROO applications are uploaded, stored, managed, encrypted, and consumed across the platform. This release strengthens the content lifecycle of VIROO applications by moving application management into a dedicated service layer, improving security, traceability, metadata control, and compatibility across VIROO Portal, VIROO Studio and Players.

Manage Applications in VIROO Cloud Portal. Organization applications can now be managed directly from the VIROO Portal frontend. This provides administrators and content managers with a centralized interface to view, manage, and control the applications available within their organization.

New Application Management Service. A new backend service has been introduced to manage VIROO applications as first-class platform assets. This service provides the foundation for secure application storage, metadata management, encryption, and controlled content resolution across the platform.

VIROO Studio Uploads Applications to the New Content Service. VIROO Studio now uploads application files directly to the new content service. This improves the publishing workflow and aligns Studio-generated content with the new application lifecycle model.

End-to-End Encryption for VIROO Applications. VIROO applications now support enforced end-to-end encryption within the new content service workflow. Content also rests chypered while downloaded and not in use in the user equipment. This reinforces VIROO’s secure content distribution model and helps protect application packages from upload to consumption.

Improved Application Metadata. Application metadata has been expanded to include engine version and application version information. This improves compatibility tracking, supportability, and operational control when deploying or troubleshooting VIROO applications.

Dual Content Resolution for VIROO Players. VIROO Players now support dual content resolution during the migration to the new content service. This allows Single Player and Room Player to resolve content from both the existing content system and the new service, supporting a controlled transition without disrupting current deployments.

VIROO Players

VIROO Players improve the day-to-day operation of immersive sessions by making version changes more visible, improving application and session information, and allowing key management actions to continue while sessions are running.
This update applies across Room Player, Single Player, and Igloo Player, with specific improvements for each execution environment.

All VIROO Players

Added

Changelog visibility during updates. Viroo Players now display the changelog when installing a new version, giving operators immediate visibility of what has changed before continuing with the updated player.

Changelog access from the information window. The changelog for the currently installed version can now be accessed directly from Viroo Players information window.

Updated Applications Page. The applications page in Players has been restyled to align with the new content service and improve the user experience when browsing and launching available applications.

Changed

Improved default resolution (1280 × 720). The default application resolution has been increased to 1280 × 720, providing a sharper and more readable interface across supported displays. This improves text clarity, UI usability, and the overall visual experience for operators.

Improved handling of removed applications in sessions. The sessions list now displays specific information when a session is linked to an application that has been removed. This improves clarity for operators and avoids ambiguity when reviewing or managing existing sessions.

Updated applications and sessions interface. The applications and sessions sections have been updated with a refreshed user interface, improving readability and operational usability.

More detailed application information. The applications section now shows additional information for each application, helping operators identify and manage available content more effectively.

Application management during active sessions. Applications can now be managed while Players are in a session, allowing operators to maintain greater control without leaving the active session context.

Room Player

Added

Equipment editing during active sessions. Equipment can now be edited while Room Player is already in a session, reducing the need to interrupt operational workflows.

Single Player

Added

Solo Mode session creation. Users can now create sessions in Solo Mode. Solo Mode is designed for individual execution and allows Single Player to reduce network usage when running applications.

Igloo Player

Added
Solo Mode session creation. Users can now create sessions in Solo Mode. Solo Mode is designed for individual execution and allows Igloo Player to reduce network usage when running applications.
